Ethiopian Tigray Community in Minnesota (ETCMN) collected a total of $8,170.15 on a fund raising event held on October 21st to help Ethoipian Tegaru displaced from Amhara and other regions of Ethiopia. The board of ETCMN has handed over the money raised to the organizers of the "Displaced Tegaru Relief Fund" on Saturday November 17 2018 with a small handover ceremoney where distinguished guests and members of community were present. The participants of the ceremony held a two hours discussion about the situation of displaced Tegaru, the causes of the displacement andd how the community can continue to support them. Also Dr. Zewdu Ayenew, Treasurer of the Board, gave a financial update on the collection of the fund. Ato Zenebe Aregawi and Ato Cherkos Yemane updated the participants about the progress of the go-fund-me activity. The ceremony was concluded with Ato Merseak Kidan, Chairman of the board, handing over the check amounting $8,170.15 to Ato Zenebe and Ato Cherkos who are members of the organizing committee of the Desplaced Tegaru Relief Fund.
